Base Building Consultancy was established by Nigel Griffiths to provide building surveying, project management and party wall surveying services to commercial clients.

Prior to incorporating the company, Base Building Consultancy, Nigel worked at P.H. Warr, as head of building surveying in London, and prior to this at Keningtons LLP.
Nigel also spent some of his career working for Wilks Head & Eve, whose senior partner at the time was instrumental in the development of the Party Wall etc Act 1996.
Nigel holds a BSc in Building Surveying and is member of the Pyramus & Thisbe Club, a specific organisation whole members are seen as experts in Party Wall matters and neighborly disputes.
Nigel is a Chartered Building Surveyor and member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He regularly chairs RICS assessment of professional competence panels for applicants wishing to become members of the RICS. Nigel has extensive experience in all aspects of commercial building surveying and has advised clients on properties throughout the UK.

Chris Bell joined Base in February 2009 after leaving Tuckerman Commercial Limited where he was previously a Director and Head of the Building Surveying Department for over 4 years. 
Prior to this he worked at Keningtons LLP with Nigel.  Chris is also a Chartered Building Surveyor and member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.  Whilst his professional career of 9 years has been predominantly in the private commercial sector, Chris spent 2 years prior to this working with a Facilities Management Agent on the DTI central London estate.
